Vocational Training Program (State-sponsored)

Introduction
  • Vocational training programs, entirely paid for by the national government, for unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older
  • Period  One-year and short-term programs
  • Qualification  Unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older (no educational backgrounds required)
  • Benefits  The Korean government pays for the entire cost of the programs including lecture fees, practice material expenses, dormitory expenses, and food. Year-long program graduates are exempted from the required written examinations for national qualification certifications and are provided additional consultation for finding jobs and post-program training. Program participants also receive KRW 200,000 as training allowance and KRW 50,000 as transportation allowance

3D Modeling and Milling
  • Trainees learn to use computer programs to create product drawings, perform CAD modeling, generate milling data using CAM software, and process mechanical parts by transmitting data to CNC machine tools

  • Trainees become specialists capable of testing and improving mechanical products by designing, milling, and inspecting prototype and 3D products

System Control

Automotive Parts and Machinery Fitting Works
  • This is a short-term program for enhancing the trainees’ practical knowledge and skills in designing and manufacturing parts for industrial machinery and cars, using all-purpose machine tools and CAD/CAM/CNC programs

Aircraft Part Milling
  • Trainees become capable of maintaining, repairing, and managing various aircraft machines and parts by learning to use CAD/CAM systems and programs for creating and changing aircraft and automotive part designs including CNC machine tools (CNC lathes and machining centers) and general machine tools
