Vocational Training Program (State-sponsored)

Introduction
  • Vocational training programs, entirely paid for by the national government, for unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older
  • Period  One-year and short-term programs
  • Qualification  Unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older (no educational backgrounds required)
  • Benefits  The Korean government pays for the entire cost of the programs including lecture fees, practice material expenses, dormitory expenses, and food. Year-long program graduates are exempted from the required written examinations for national qualification certifications and are provided additional consultation for finding jobs and post-program training. Program participants also receive KRW 200,000 as training allowance and KRW 50,000 as transportation allowance

Machine Design

Mechanical Design and Manufacture
  • Trainees acquire basic knowledge in research, development, planning, design, drawing, production, manufacturing, and management involved in the making of various tools, mechanical equipment, production facilities, and production systems. Trainees also acquire practical knowledge in 2D and 3D design and milling using CAD/CAM programs, so that they could become skillful machine design and production specialists

Milling (Machining Center)
  • Trainees master the CAD/CAM skills essential to machine production and manufacture, as well as acquire skills for operating the machining center and CNC machine tools, thus becoming capable of modeling machines and producing parts

Computer-Aided Machinery
  • Trainees become specialists of milling and manufacturing mechanical parts using the data transmission function of CNC machine tools and by generating milling data for product drawings, CAD modeling, and CAM software
