Vocational Training Program (State-sponsored)

Introduction
  • Vocational training programs, entirely paid for by the national government, for unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older
  • Period  One-year and short-term programs
  • Qualification  Unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older (no educational backgrounds required)
  • Benefits  The Korean government pays for the entire cost of the programs including lecture fees, practice material expenses, dormitory expenses, and food. Year-long program graduates are exempted from the required written examinations for national qualification certifications and are provided additional consultation for finding jobs and post-program training. Program participants also receive KRW 200,000 as training allowance and KRW 50,000 as transportation allowance

Design

Brand Design
  • Trainees practice basic drawings and acquire skills for conceiving and expressing creative ideas through computer graphics and editorial designs. The goal is to transform trainees into capable creators of brand designs and corporate brand identities that can capture the people’s minds by allowing them to acquire a comprehensive range of knowledge and skills needed to realize designs

Visual Design
  • Trainees become specialists capable of producing diverse visual media and contents by acquiring basic knowledge and skills for visual design, advertisement design, editorial design, print media, computer graphics, and advertisement contents

Product Design
  • Trainees are given opportunities to develop and enhance design skills needed for new product development by learning about and practicing 3D computer modeling, product design and modeling, design and color planning, and the like, as well as produce their own products using 3D modeling programs and automated facilities
