Introduction

Vocational training programs, entirely paid for by the national government, for unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older
Period One-year and short-term programs
Qualification Unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older (no educational backgrounds required)
Benefits The Korean government pays for the entire cost of the programs including lecture fees, practice material expenses, dormitory expenses, and food. Year-long program graduates are exempted from the required written examinations for national qualification certifications and are provided additional consultation for finding jobs and post-program training. Program participants also receive KRW 200,000 as training allowance and KRW 50,000 as transportation allowance

Medical Electronics

Trainees acquire the skills and competency for maintaining, repairing, and operating medical equipment and systems by learning about the factors of safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of medical electronics and engineering

Medical Device Production

Trainees acquire the knowledge and skills needed for producing prototypes of medical devices, including knowledge in medical engineering, vital dynamics, product design, medical device design, design software, and electric and electronic tools
