Introduction

Vocational training programs, entirely paid for by the national government, for unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older
Period One-year and short-term programs
Qualification Unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older (no educational backgrounds required)
Benefits The Korean government pays for the entire cost of the programs including lecture fees, practice material expenses, dormitory expenses, and food. Year-long program graduates are exempted from the required written examinations for national qualification certifications and are provided additional consultation for finding jobs and post-program training. Program participants also receive KRW 200,000 as training allowance and KRW 50,000 as transportation allowance

Building Facility Design and Production

Trainees acquire knowledge in the latest trends in IT and CAD, as well as the ability to design, build, and operate environmental and hygienic facilities, air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating systems, and other such facilities that are important to pleasant indoor environments

Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems

Trainees learn about the structures and types of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, and acquire the ability to produce, operate, repair, and inspect such systems

Craftsman Certifications - air-conditioning and refrigeration, gas, boiler handling and installation, and hazardous materials
Industrial engineer Certifications – machinery maintenance, facility maintenance, energy management, industrial safety, and air-conditioning and refrigeration machinery

Energy Generation

Trainees acquire knowledge and skills needed to inspect and ensure optimal operation of mechanical facilities at power and energy plants, as well as to perform a comprehensive range of related activities, including the prediction and prevention of malfunction and repair and maintenance

Heating and Refrigeration Facilities

Trainees acquire knowledge and skills needed to ensure safe installation, management, and maintenance of heating and refrigeration facilities including boilers, freezers, and refrigerators

Inert Gas Arc Welding

Trainees become capable of installing, operating, inspecting, and maintaining a variety of equipment and devices that need welding, and also cutting and welding ferrous and nonferrous metals according to various industrial requirements for application to ships, machines, cars, and other industrial facilities

Plant Facilities

Trainees acquire knowledge and skills necessary to perform drawing using CAD software, as well as CNC-cutting, molding, and welding of materials so as to produce, install, inspect, and maintain various plant facilities, including tanks, pressure vessels, steel frames, and transportation machines.
