Introduction

Vocational training programs, entirely paid for by the national government, for unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older
Period One-year and short-term programs
Qualification Unemployed job seekers at age 15 or older (no educational backgrounds required)
Benefits The Korean government pays for the entire cost of the programs including lecture fees, practice material expenses, dormitory expenses, and food. Year-long program graduates are exempted from the required written examinations for national qualification certifications and are provided additional consultation for finding jobs and post-program training. Program participants also receive KRW 200,000 as training allowance and KRW 50,000 as transportation allowance

Living Fashion Design

Trainees acquire the basic knowledge and skills of living fashion design needed to design and produce various products for everyday living using decorative sewing techniques.

Dressmaking

Trainees acquire basic knowledge in techniques for rational dressmaking and also practice and master skills needed to design and make patterns appropriate to body shapes, as well as to create apparel and other fabric goods using various sewing machines
